Röbel/Berlin – Es beginnt immer mit einem Klumpen aus Kunststoff. 25 Sekunden braucht die alte schwedische Toolex-Alpha-Maschine, um den cremedosengroßen und 130 Grad heißen Batzen platt zu machen. Millionenfach hat sie das schon gemacht, und sie kann es noch immer. Die Maschine ist eine Plattenpresse. Sie fertigt jene Tonkonserve, die lange Zeit als das Achselhaar des Musikgeschäfts galt und von der Generation iPod als Fossil aus einer Zeit belächelt wird, in der es noch Diodenkabel und Telefonapparate mit Wählscheiben gab. Doch die Scheibe aus Vinyl gibt es noch. Tot war sie nie und wird es womöglich nie sein.(...)"
